seaborn cruise

Each day is a covergence of indulgence and adventure on your Seabourn state-of-the-art ship, enjoying high-end amenities, fine-dining, and sights as colorful as the Caribbean's diverse cultures. Immerse yourself in the laid-back rhythm of the Caribbean with unforgettable afternoons of watersports, beach barbecues with lobsters on the grill, or caviar served in the surf. Note that Seabourn traditionally also has offered voyages around the Baltic Sea that visit such classic Baltic ports as Helsinki and Stockholm, and have included overnight stays in St. Petersburg, Russia — the latter considered the highlight of any Baltic cruise. However, in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Seabourn has eliminated all its sailings to the Baltic as part of removing Russia from its itinerary schedule. In just the last year, Seabourn also has begun to base a ship during the winter at the southern tip of South America for regular sailings to Antarctica — a move made possible by the 2022 debut of its first expedition ship, Seabourn Venture. The vessel was specially built to operate in polar regions and also sails in the Arctic.

Introducing Seabourn Ovation, the sister-ship to the prestigious Seabourn Encore. Seabourn Ovation represents another stage in the evolution of small ship cruising, which Seabourn pioneered and has consistently expanded and enriched. Both ships deliver a wealth of new concepts, a fresh vision and a host of illuminating ideas to delight the world's most discerning travelers. Gratuities are included on Seabourn and are not expected, although you might tip if, for example, you're in a suite and ask your butler to arrange a private cocktail party. Guides on tours seemed to expect tips, although they weren't overly pushy.

Chinatown, Arab Street and the retail mecca of Orchard Road entice you to explore. The towering Trafalgar Falls located in Morne Trois Pitons National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the premier destination of Dominica Island. Laem Chabang is your gateway to Thailand’s capital, which rewards visitors with an endless flow of amazing sights and cheerful encounters. Treasures like the fairytale Grand Palace, Wat Arun and the Emerald Buddha cluster side-by-side with mazelike malls, seductively fragrant food stalls and emporia of jewel-bright Thai silks. Pattaya beach resorts are closer by, with surprises including the Sanctuary of Truth, a temple constructed of elaborately hand-carved wood sculptures.

Sail of the Year

John Barron and Handré Potgieter, who were part of the original onboard team when the ship launched in 2009, will return as cruise directors for Seabourn Odyssey’s final voyage. In addition, Seabourn President Natalya Leahy will be onboard in Seattle to personally wish farewell to guests and the onboard team as they set sail on this voyage. Seabourn Encore represents an evolution of Seabourn Cruise Line's popular Odyssey-class ships. It's bigger -- 40,340 tons as opposed to 32,000, with an extra deck -- and carries 600 passengers in 300 suites, while the smaller ships take 458.

In 2024, they will include a 33-night trip from Sydney, Australia, to Taipei, Taiwan, that brings a heavy focus on Indonesia and the Philippines. Seabourn destinations visited on such trips typically include Laem Chabang (the port for Bangkok) and Ko Kood, Thailand; Sihanoukville, Cambodia; and Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Halong Bay in Vietnam. Typical of the line's more focused, quickie Mediterranean itineraries is a seven-night "Jewels of the Dalmatian Coast" routing out of Dubrovnik, Croatia, that concentrates on the narrow span of coastline along Croatia and Slovenia with five stops in the countries. The world's southernmost continent is an underexplored area that many seasoned travelers still have left unchecked on their to-visit list. During its Farewell Voyage, the Seabourn Odyssey will visit 11 ports and destinations such as Kodiak Island, Hubbard Glacier and Hakodate, Japan.

The next such voyage, an 80-night trip, is scheduled to start Jan. 4, 2024, and will include calls at Barbados, Martinique, Antigua, St. Kitts and Puerto Rico. The two itineraries can be combined to create one long, 14-night sailing that has relatively little overlap in stops. Asia-focused segments of the line's around-the-world cruises vary from year to year.

Singular experiences to be had in one of the world's most wild and wonderful places. Introducing Seabourn Ovation, the sister-ship to the already prestigious Seabourn Encore. Seabourn Ovation represents another welcome stage in the evolution of small ship cruising, which Seabourn pioneered and has consistently expanded and enriched for all of our small ship cruises.

During school breaks, expect to see quite a few families, mostly in multigenerational groups. When there are enough kids onboard to justify it, a kids' program is introduced. Expand your appreciation for world by engaging with our on-board team of experts, who will hold Seabourn Conversations on topics ranging from marine biology, ornithology, geology, history, and photography. Listen to our naturalist experts as they wax poetic on the local bears, whales, and other endemic wildlife to Alaska and British Columbia, Canada. Nature abounds throughout the voyage from the beautiful beaches in St. Kitts to the epic British Virgin Islands volcanos including Mount Pelée on Martinique.

The compact size, combined with the presence of forward and aft elevators and staircases, in addition to a dazzling spiral feature staircase looping from Deck 10 down to Deck 3, means that passenger flow is excellent. Immense forces of nature buffer Alaska from the outside influences of modernity. Alaska is a pristine world where ravens, eagles, bears and salmon still exercise domain.

There's at least one Formal Optional evening for passengers who want to dress up in The Restaurant or The Grill by Thomas Keller. It should be noted that on Seabourn formal means a jacket and buttoned shirt. Some men wear a tie or even a tuxedo, but it's not a requirement, in line with Seabourn's more relaxed form of luxury travel. However, on Formal Optional evenings, the line requests no jeans in any of the lounges or dining venues.

When sailing outbound from Barbados, the trips typically bring stops at the islands of St. Vincent, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Nevis, Antigua and St. Kitts. On the return to Barbados, the itinerary is a bit different, with stops at Tortola, Anguilla, St. Kitts, Guadeloupe, St. Lucia and Grenada. They take place on the line's new Seabourn Venture, which was specifically built for adventurous exploring in polar regions. Seabourn features voyages focused specifically on the Western Mediterranean, voyages focused specifically on the Eastern Mediterranean and voyages that include days traveling beyond the edges of the Mediterranean to such places as the Canary Islands. Seabourn is honored to see our fleet nominated in Condé Nast Traveler's 2024 Reader's Choice Awards. The company's fleet currently consists of five vessels, with two sets of sister ships. As of this year, the 264-passenger expedition ship is spending multiple months every winter sailing to Antarctica out of Ushuaia, Argentina. It'll soon be joined by a second vessel in the same series, Seabourn Pursuit. Seabourn has recently gone big in cruises to Antarctica with the unveiling of Seabourn Venture — a polar-class vessel that was specifically built to sail in the region as well as the Arctic. For the most part, Seabourn's lineup of Caribbean cruises is focused on one-way, seven-night trips between the islands of Barbados and St. Maarten (the Dutch side of the island of St. Martin). Explore the British Isles, the Arctic, Iceland, South America, Antarctica, and much more.

There is everything from relatively short, seven-night sailings around the sunny Greek islands to monthlong voyages that span the entire width of the Mediterranean from Istanbul to the Strait of Gibraltar and offer lots of opportunities for cultural immersion. On October 18, 2013, Seabourn announced it had signed a Letter of Intent for the construction of a new cruise ship with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri. The new ship was modeled after the line's three newest vessels, Seabourn Odyssey, Seabourn Sojourn and Seabourn Quest. Delivery was completed in 2016.[9] The vessel replaced the capacity that left the Seabourn brand with the sale of Seabourn Pride, Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend. In July 2018, the cruise line announced it would add two expedition ships to its fleet. Seabourn Venture was delivered on June 29, 2022 and inaugural voyage on July 27, 2022.[10] Seabourn Pursuit is scheduled for delivery in February 2023.

The city of Wrangell, a true Alaskan frontier town, sits at the northern end of the island, a short distance from the mouth of the mighty Stikine River. One of the western most cities in the Inside Passage, the coastal town of Sitka offers vivid history and stunning vistas truly unique, containing vaulted mountain peaks and crystal-clear waters. Want to get out and explore the might of Alaska in a more adventurous way? Ventures by Seabourn allow guests to kayak, ride in our Zodiacs, or go on group hikes to see these iconic destinations up close and personal. You can kayak through fjords, circumnavigate the Inian Islands, and witness the Holgate Glacier via Zodiac, or take priceless pictures in our photography hikes at Wrangell. A shorter, 27-night segment of the above voyage that includes only the Caribbean portion of the trip, as well as stops in Brazil, also is available.
